O Audio 300W and 500W BASH® Subwoofer Amplifiers
Q: What is BASH®?
A: BASH® is a patented technology that mates a tracking power supply to a Class AB output stage to deliver efficiency that is comparable to Class D
digital amplifiers, but with the fidelity associated with Class AB amplifiers.
Q: I never heard of BASH®.
A: Well-known and respected audio companies such as Klipsch and Focal-JMlab (to name a few) have incorporated BASH® amplifiers into their powered
subwoofers.
Q: Why should I buy the O Audio 500W BASH amplifier?
A: You won't find a more complete subwoofer plate amplifier at this price. With this amplifier, one may seemlessly integrate a powered subwoofer with
any audio system and associated acoustic environment. Parametric equalization is provided to tame room modes. Selectable low end EQ/subsonic filter
is provided to extend low frequency response. The 4th order crossover is adjustable over a wide range and can be defeated if you so desire. Other
features include variable phase (not just a simple 0°/180° switch), variable gain, and an auto-on feature that switches amplifier power based on the
presence of an audio signal. A heavy-gauge eight-foot long hospital grade AC power cord is also standard!
Q: Why should I buy the O Audio 300W BASH amplifier?
A: If you are looking for a smaller more compact amplifier than the 500W, with useful features like variable phase (a feature not found on other versions
of the 300W amplifier) in addition to variable crossover, gain control, auto-on and other features, the O Audio 300W amplifier is a good choice for your
project.
